Let's get down to business: We are on the lookout for a CMO/Head of Marketing for the dating app Hily. Hily has won the hearts of millions of users worldwide. Why? Face it, dating has never been easy for most people, with or without tech involved. This is why, from ads to product and support, we take it very seriously to make our users' experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We rely heavily on research, data, analysis, and testing, striving to hear people well and serve their needs the best. And it works — we are consistently in the top 10 dating apps in the USA with 31 million users, 2.1 million reactions daily, and user ratings of 4.6/5 on the Apple Store and 4.4/5 on Google Play.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to achieve our company goals and drive the growth and development of our product, Hily.

Responsibilities:

Ad Network Expertise:

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of major ad networks including Meta (Facebook), Snapchat, TikTok, and Google.
  • Understand the auction flow and mechanics of these platforms.
  • Train and mentor team members on performance marketing strategies and best practices for these ad networks.

Goal Setting and Achievement:

  • Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals for the marketing team.
  • Ensure OKR goals align with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to executive leadership.

Mentorship and Team Building:

  • Serve as a mentor and coach to direct reports (N-1).
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top marketing talent in Ukraine.

Develop and Implement Growth Strategy:

  • Create and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to inform strategic decisions.

Budget and Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets.
  • Create media plans and forecast key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track and report on ROI for all marketing activities.

Process Systematization:

  • Break down departmental goals into actionable steps.
  • Systematize processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.

Unified Marketing Strategy:

  • Integrate performance marketing and creative production under one cohesive strategy.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.

Strategic and Tactical Goal Definition:

  • Actively participate in defining company goals at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Collaborate with brand development and product teams for new positioning launches.

Community Building:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build a strong community around the product and its mission.

Operational Optimization:

  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization in marketing operations.

Market Position and Growth:

  • Achieve a Top 3 position in the US market.
  • Drive at least 2x growth annually.

Leadership and Ownership:

  • Take on a shareholder role, demonstrating commitment and investment in the company’s success.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CMO or Head of Marketing.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing teams of 6+ people.
  • Proven track record in performance marketing and comprehensive marketing strategies.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and broad marketing principles.
  • Deep expertise in major ad networks such as Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, and Google, including their auction flows.
  • T-shaped skill set with a strong foundation in multiple marketing areas.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Advanced/fluent in Ukrainian and English.

Leadership and Personal Attributes:

  • Proven leader with a track record of achievements in previous roles.
  • Initiative-taker, ambitious, empathetic, and visionary.
  • High emotional intelligence, concise, and objective.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience with OKRs or other goal-setting frameworks.
  • Background in product-oriented companies.
